The Cooper Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS) would like to encourage all current 8th grade students who have talent and interest in mathematics and science to apply to our program. The first step to applying to our program would be to sign up for our entrance exam which will be held in Cooper's library on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00 to 11:00a (please note that this is a time change!). A New Test Date Has Been Added!

Due to potential scheduling conflicts with a robotics competition on Saturday, December 3rd, we are offering an entrance exam in Cooper's cafeteria on Thursday, December 1st from 3:00 to 5:00p. You can sign up for that exam here.

OUR PROGRAMS

Traditional College Prep Program

This program is meant for students who want to pursue an intense academic experience that will prepare them for a post-secondary mathematics or science education. Students in the Traditional College Prep program will have more high level physics classes when compared to the other two programs to meet the demand of post-secondary engineering programs.

Computer Science Program

This program is meant for students who want to pursue a post-secondary education in a computer engineering field. Students in the Computer Science program will take a series of technology and programming courses that will prepare them for post-secondary computer science programs.

Advanced Manufacturing Program

This program is meant for students who want to explore the engineering and design process through problem solving and interaction with the same technology and software used by some of the world's top companies. This program follows the Project Lead the Way curriculum.
